Standardbred Transition Alliance named official aftercare partner of USTA
During a board meeting of the Standardbred Transition Alliance on Thursday (Aug. 12), an agreement was reached with the U.S. Trotting Association for the STA to become the official aftercare partner of the USTA.

Former Associate Editor of The Horseman And Fair World, Gordon Waterstone, has been hired as a freelance Editorial Specialist to assist the U.S. Trotting Association with editorial contributions to Hoof Beats and Youth Beats magazines, the newsroom on www.ustrotting.com, content for www.harnessracing.com, social media and other projects. Wendy Ross, who joined the U.S. Trotting Association on May 23, 2018, will assume the newly created position of Social Media Content Manager beginning on May 3. She previously served as Social Media and Public Relations Coordinator.
2021 USTA Board of Directors hold opening session of annual meeting
For the second consecutive year, the U.S. Trotting Association Board of Directors are conducting their annual meeting virtually. Monday’s (March 15) meetings included the opening General Session as well as several committee meetings following that.

“Learn to Bet Harness” guide in Saturday’s Daily Racing Form
As was announced on Sept. 30, the USTA has partnered with Daily Racing Form to create a “Learn to Bet Harness” wagering guide and five-part video series. The program features a 16-page guide that will be an insert in Saturday’s (Oct. 26) national, print edition of the Daily Racing Form and will be seen by horse players and fans across North America.

Ström shares thoughts on ‘G Force’

Pinkman to make 2019 debut Friday at Big M
Pinkman, who won the 2015 Hambletonian on his way to being named Trotter of the Year, is ready for a new season and trainer Per Engblom is optimistic that “the old man” is poised for a solid campaign. The 7-year-old gelding makes his seasonal debut Friday (April 5) in the preferred handicap trot at The Meadowlands, which could be the first of two preps for Pinkman ahead of May’s Arthur J. Cutler Memorial at the Big M.
